A few Body questions

So I am thinking about adding a front SRT bumper.

I have a 2007 5.7L WK and want to keep the front grill. Can I paint the chrome green? or will I have to buy a painted one and have it color matched?

Also, will my factory fogs drop right into the bumper or will I have to get a new ones?

I want to paint or cover my chrome window strip black, and remove my chrome door strip. I know a body shop will do this for me, but how much am I looking at?

Will it be cheaper if I just buy new black moldings instead of painting and completely removing?

What are the part numbers for the trim?

Anyone want to trade chrome for black?

You can have a shop paint the chrome but it would probably cost as much as buying a cheap used one of ebay or a new one

yes

I was quoted $350 to do the same

I got this one Scott :)

From Justforjeeps:

Set of 4 Black Side Moldings for the 2005-2006 or 2007-2009 Grand Cherokee. Same as OEM Laredo Model. Please select model year above. 2007-2009 is a skinner molding similar to the chrome side molding width on the limited model. 2005-2006 is the molding as pictured which is wider. Both molding styles are interchangeable between model years.

Here is a link to buy:

Definately cheaper to just buy them to paint em. And defiantely cheaper to vinyl the window moldings because the rear ones require the window to be removed to do so :(

Another dumb question i am sure has been answered, will an 08 grill fit on a 07 jeep? If yes, will that cause problems with an 07 srt front bumper?

Re: A few Body questions

an 08 grill will not fit the 05-07.....different design, taller etc.
