SRT8 Delayed!

Hi guys,
I myself am not an SRT8 potential buyer but for those of you who are I thought you might find this interesting...

Thanks, contacted our dealer and he said that's not the case (not sure what is then but I take that as still getting out car in June...)

"Jeep Australia said it will receive 25 per cent of global SRT8 allocation, equating to around 1000 per year, and has already taken more than 250 orders."

25% for Australia?? I'm not buying that. Currently, production for vehicles outside of the U.S. is 33% of the worldwide total, I can't see Australia taking most of of the export allocation! Besides, more than 5,000 will be built for model year 2012 so their numbers don't add up.

I agree. Probably more like 2.5%. They probably included their overpricing markup in the figure and got confused.

Press putting words in their mouth.

It is just more free publicity for the SRT8. With perceived delays, it makes people want them more. This can create a sellers market and make the care more desirable.

So has anybody had confirmation that June deliveries are still happening?

Who knows? You should call Chrysler Aust and ask that question.
Some cars are already here, and others are already on the ship.

That's what I'm thinking. Surely they won't sit in a storage yard until the August release date?

Wise words guys, didn't look into that much but now I see the flaws in the article. Just shows how you can't trust media these days sadly. I reckon that when the say 'global srt8 allocation' they probably mean 25% of export models, which is probably about right. As for the dates, I'd say anyone that has had one already built will get it on time but orders from now might have to wait...

Re: SRT8 Delayed!

Confirmed each dealership will get one Srt8 with the rest coming over July and August. The reason, so dealers weren't seen to get preferential treatment. So because my dealer has two orders in (mine and one other) its luck of the draw. If its a black one it's mine, red then it's the other customer.

Has any SRT8 buyer requested and received an Order number from their dealer?
