Hummmm in front end... Known problem no fix
2011 summit 4x4 hemi loaded. I have a vibration or a humm in the front end at interstate speeds. 70-80. Started around 10k. I have 34k on it now.

This is the third time the dealer has tried to fix the problem. I asked them to run it up the chain at Chrysler. Apparently they got the south east Chrysler tech guy in the phone and he is aware of the problem as this is a "known issue".

So I asked "what's the fix?" "there is no fix"... Says dealer.

So I tell them that's not acceptable and what are our next options. He said he needed to get in touch with the next guy up who is the regional manager, above mechanics. Guess he gets the business aspect of this situation, or is suppose to.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix a "known problem" that has no apparent fix?

Re: Hummmm in front end... Known problem no fix
I have been having mine worked on since February.from what I have learned the wheels and tires 20" that is cause a lot of noise. I had a tire noise from day 1 but back in January I had a noise start like it was the heating and Ac blower motor progresively got worse took it to the dealer to have the entire car gone over 150$ later all was fine.they missed the power steering rack and all 4 tires are bad now and this is what was causing my noise.suggestions I have read the front brake dust cover can cause a noise the front wheel bearings (had both of mine replaced).good luck
