Nulon 5W-30 Full Synthetic Long Life Diesel Oil at Super Cheap Auto

Hi all,

For all the Australian members with the 3.0 CRD WK2 that wish to do their own oil changes. I noticed in the latest NSW SuperCheapAuto catalog, that they have 10 litres of Nulon 5W-30 Full Synthetic Long Life Oil for Diesel engines, for $87.

On special until May 16, It has the right certifications according to the Nulon website - SAE 5W-30, ACEA C3 and MB 229.51

Nice opportunity to save some cash.

Thanks for the info, I have used the Nylon 5w 30 and the 5w 40 low ash full synthetic oil for about 3 years now, I like the 5w 40 in summer as it gives a wider temp range, probably not needed but good if your slogging it out in sand or low range, or even towing the boat, used it in my crd Pajero, now in the Jeep, great oil.

Can you ask your dealer to use the oil you purchased? Warranty etc?

You can. As long as the oil you supply conforms with the specs required then there should be no warranty impact.

A number of members here also do their own oil change before the service, and advise the dealer of that prior to the dealer performing the rest of the service.
