SRT sway bars.

Question, are the SRT sway bars bigger/stiffer than say the sway bars on 4x2 WK2? Next question will the SRT sway bars fit a non SRT grand cherokee?

I was wondering the same thing. It appears that they will bolt right up to my 2012 4X4 Overland Summit. The rear bar looks slighly bigger than my OEM rear bar but it's hard to say?

Someone needs to start a list of compatible parts.....that would be really cool.

Re: SRT sway bars.

At this official SRT site (http://www.drivesrt.com/superior-han...-priority.html) I found that the front sway bar diameter is 35 mm and the rear sway bar diameter is 25 mm. I have not found the measurements for the non-SRT8 WK2 yet.

The Mopar parts website has the WK2 Front Stabilizer Bar (Part # 52124887AD) for $294, but there are no details in the specification section. The actual bar is missing for the rear suspension on the Mopar website. The rear sway bar does appear to be the same diameter (~1") as the SRT8.

Stronger sway bars helped my Lexus IS 350 corner better so I hope the forum can help figure out the difference in size, strength, handling, cost. Of course a critical factor is the SRT8 sway bars being a direct replacement for the WK2 sway bars.

I emailed them when I was on vacation last week but haven't heard back from them yet.

hey that's pretty cool. I was just reading that link you posted and notice that the camber on the SRT8 is exactly the same as mine after I installed the Eibach lowering springs.

I was just talking with Peter from JustforJeeps and they are working on getting us some detailed pics of the sway bars to try to figure out compatibilty of the sway bars. Nothing is listed in the catalog obviously concerning compatibility. Peter has a front and rear sway bar available now. he did say that the bushings are now part of the bar and welded in place. he is also working on a few other suspension items to add to his site...ie. standard rear shocks and mounts for the eibach springs.

Figured I would let everyone know on this thread (disappointment). I was just at my local jeep dealer who has some srt8's and with my own curiosity laid under both and overland and srt8 side by side. Sway bars are no different, look to be 1.5 inches. F!!!! The links might be a bit larger but do not waste your $ on the attempt of srt8 bars. Wait for hotchkis to release some 3 in ones.

Sorry to be bringer of bad news. I was hoping it would be an upgrade.
