Tie down for rear door?

Ran into a bit of an issue transporting a kids size 4 wheeler in the back of the wk2. Being that the back end stuck out a bit I had to leave the rear door cracked open. Issue was I could not find anywhere to tie onto the door to keep it down while driving. Anyone ran into this yet? I was stuck so had to tie down on the rear wiper  but only had a short distance and it wasn't putting much strain to hold the door down... But geez, I assumed I could find something solid to tie onto. Anyone else faced this and have a solution? Hoping I just didn't look hard enough :)

I hooked straps to the two support rods near where they attach to the door. I assume you know running with the rear door open will fill the car with exhaust fumes, keeping the other windows open will help with ventilation.

I had to transport some prehung doors a few months back. I ran a ratchet strap through the rear window and down to the trailer hitch, I just closed the window on the strap. No damage done and door was transported safely.

If your tool box has the four things needed to fix anything, you could use one of them to keep the hatch partially closed: Duct tape, WD-14, rope or nylon ties.

a true mechanic only needs 2 tools, duct tape and wd-40. If it is supposed to move and doesn't, use the wd-40. If it moves and is not supposed to, use the duct tape. :)

I must have dated myself with the rope, since that's been around long before duct tape. And I've recently discovered nylon ties and added them, proving that I'm not over the hill just yet. ;)

Yeah that is kind of annoying there isn't an interior handle or something isn't it?
