More Silver 2012 Jeep SRT8 Pics

Here are some pics taken at the dealership as we picked up our new Silver 2012 Jeep SRT8 (including the first time seeing it). I wanted to share these for any other members/lurkers that may be interested in the Silver 2012 Jeep SRT8s. There are 34 pics total, so feel free to browse the whole album (slideshow ftw). I still have all of the full size original pics (i.e., 14 megapixel) if anybody is interested. Any idea where I might upload the full-size originals? Photobucket downsizes them more than I would like.

P.S. Kudos to Transam in this thread for the awesome Silver pics. We looked at these repeatedly and they really helped our decision to buy.

Welcome to the board and congrats on your Jeep SRT8.
I'm sure you will be enjoying it alot.
Nice pics!
I think Fotki.com has a photosharing site where you can view large jpgs. Try them out?

Thanks, I will look into Fotki.com. Just tinted the front windows this past Friday so I need a whole new set of pics (oh snap!). Now have about 450 miles on it while observing the recommended 500 mile break-in period. Just a little while longer...

Congratulations in advance! I am sure you must be excited. I had serious difficulty sleeping the two nights prior to picking ours up, was too stoked. Please be sure to take and share some pics with us when you get it!

Per the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee User's Guide, page 25:

ENGINE BREAK-IN RECOMMENDATIONS — SRT8 VERSIONS
  • A long break-in period is not required for the drivetrain (engine, transmission, and rear axle) in your new vehicle.
  • Drive moderately during the first 500 mi (800 km). After the initial 60 mi (100 km), speeds up to 50 or 55 mph (80 or 90 km/h) are desirable.
  • While cruising, brief full-throttle acceleration within the limits of local traffic laws contributes to a good break-in. However, wide-open throttle acceleration in low gear can be detrimental and should be avoided.
  • The engine oil, transmission fluid, and axle lubricant installed at the factory is high-quality and energy-conserving. Oil, fluid, and lubricant changes should be consistent with anticipated climate and conditions under which vehicle operations will occur. For the recommended viscosity and quality grades, refer to “Maintaining Your Vehicle”.

NOTE: A new engine may consume some oil during its first few thousand miles (kilometers) of operation. This should be considered a normal part of the break-in and not interpreted as an indication of difficulty.
