Audio Uprade Sugestions?
I am thinking about uprading my Boston Audio system to all Apline. now not only do I want to change the stock speakers, I want add some speakers. Do you have any suggestions on where I should put those extra speakers? Would it be a good idea to put some tweets in the roof above the rear seats? Should I replace my Migig For an Alpine Head unit? Any other Audio suggestion would be appreciated.

You can't go wrong with alpine, I have all alpine equipment with kicker speakers. You can see my build thread. I used a 3 channel crossover for front so i could still maintain use of the tweeters. I have seen some jeeps where they added speakers in the c pillar and color matched the speaker grille.

Re: Audio Uprade Sugestions?
Now I have been torn between alpine and kicker, mostly over subs any opinions, I like it to hit hard! And how do you like those kicker speakers?

Re: Audio Uprade Sugestions?
The kicker speakers are amazing!!!! they pump and i can go to max volume and they never distort. Thats because they are running as 100 watts rms. I have two alpine amps pdx-f4 4 channel amplifier which is amazing and a small stackable size. For the subwoofer i have an older alpine v power amplifier and i have a 10 rockford that hits very hard. The car audio guy said my sub pumps harder then two 12's. Mainly because most people don't even have the battery power to power even one sub yet alone two. With my second battery in the trunk my 10 literally sounds amazing and hits harder then most peoples dual 12's

Re: Audio Uprade Sugestions?
Your factory speakers, as crappy as they may be, are run by an amp. You can replace the speakers. However, if you want an aftermarket deck, do yourself a favor and replace everything. The factory amp is made to be run off a factory deck. There are adapters for aftermarket decks, but they suck.

Adding more speakers? Nah, just get better ones. If I were to do it over, i'd upgrade to a mygig radio and just put in aftermarket speakers (2ohm preferred, front doors are midbass only). Then give signal from the two unused channels of the mygig to a line driver for a sub amp.

Re: Audio Uprade Sugestions?
Now should I stick with my mygig or move to and alpine navi head unit?

Re: Audio Uprade Sugestions?
you can use an alpine vpower, thats what im using right now. Search ebay to find a good deal. Or if you really want to use an xpower amp it would be this one ....MRX-M55 This would be perfect for that sub. Or if you are thinking about putting a 4 channel amp for your speakers as well why not go for a 5 channel amplifier that can do it all. I have a pdx amp and i love it.

Re: Audio Uprade Sugestions?
Now I have all my stuff about ready to order, Here's what I'm thinking, let me know what you think about it.
Alpine INA-W910
Kicker KS693 6x9s
Kicker KS35 3.5s
Kicker KS60 (11KS60) 6s
2 Alpine type S 12" (I want to keep as much space as I can
Alpine Pdx amp for subs (600w rms or 1200w rms)
Kicker ZX650. 4 Amp for speakers
Anything else I need, of course wiring but how about Equalizers, capacitors, crossovers?
Sorry about all the mind changing, audio shopping is so hard to make decision. As the name of the form say suggestions, don't be shy to tell me I'm not making a good decision, I'd rather be told before I spend my money.
