Anyone try the Michelin Latitude tire in the Sand?

Has anyone tried the stock 18in tire on the beach and in sand? If so, how did it hold up and what 4 wheel drive system were you using?

yes. I had mine on the beach last year (OBX) and it did great. I left the 40psi in the tires and used either sand or auto mode. I didn't notice a big difference between the modes. Sand let it spin a little more but nothing drastic.

I have a wk2 hemi Laredo with QTII.

I just had mine out in White Sands Missle Range (WSMR) and the sand is like baby powder. I left it in auto and was able to get around just fine while other vehicles were stuck and required recovery. They worked real well when the sand was a little wet after it had rained. All in all they did better than I had expected for a NON-Off Road tire.

Awesome, thanks for the responses guys. I took my WK2 out in some sand this weekend as well and was surprised how well it handled in sand, mud and some water trenches.
