2008 JGC Overland driver side front window issue

Over the past couple of weeks I have been having issues with my driver side front window. The problem is sporadic. Sometimes the window will not go down when I toggle the switch, but on a second or third try it will, and once it's down it won't go up when toggled. I will wait a few seconds, try again and it will go up. The problem is becoming more frequent. I'm concerned that one day it will go down and stay there. I believe the problem is in the switch and only the one for the driver window. None of the other windows are having a problem. Before I take it to the stealership, I wanted to see if anyone has had the same problem and what the fix was/cost???

thanks,
Craig

i had a similar problem, when i use the automatic up feature on my passenger side window it would go up half way then automatically go back down, they changed my drivers side one when it did it but i have a lifetime wrap around warranty and my deductible was 150. They put in an entire new actuator and window tray, im not sure how much it would have been. Yours sounds more like it may just be a faulty switch tho. They are easy to replace you may find one on ebay for cheap, try that first before you spend an arm and a leg at the dealer

Had the same problem. Dealer replaced the switch assembly, the regulator assembly and motor. there was also an update flash for the new regulator motor/module. Cured the problem.
Mine was also under extended warranty and cost me $75.

I'd try the switch first. If you go to the dealer, remember the module flash....ask about it.
