Will QuadraTracII Slip When Both Wheels on One Side in Snow?

During a winter in the Colorado High Country several years ago, in one of my older GCs (not sure if it was the 97, 03, or 05), I pulled off the asphalt road into a deeper snow bank to get some photos. Both right side wheels were in the snow and I almost didn't get out.

Does the WK2 QTII behave the same way?

I would say that the Electronic Stability Control would minimize that happening in most situations. During one of the few snow storms were had last winter I did just what you did and drove out as if it was summer.

Yes, the traction control will apply brakes to the spinning wheel(s) and those with traction will move the vehicle.

According to Jeep: QT II "...reacts by electronically engaging the clutch pack to transfer up to 100% of the torque to either axle. The system works with the Brake Lock Differential and Four-Wheel Brake Traction Control systems to deliver confident all-weather traction."

So apparently either the front or rear axle will lock, then the brake will be applied at the spinning wheel of that axle, enabling the tire that has more traction to pull you out.
