Part number required

I have an early wj with the older type oil filler cap that gunks up, the hose that goes into it the 90 degree part is broken. I've repaired it a few time but keeps on breaking so ideally a replacement would be better. Does any one know the part number.

Sorry but I recommend calling your local jeep parts dealer for help. Good luck.

Parts book shows:

4.7L = 53032389AC
4.0L = 53010654AA

But they don't look like they have the side stem. Do you have a pic of yours? What year/engine?

1999 4.7. It contains a sort if shuttle valve inside of it.

are you referring to where the PCV valve attatches to the oil filler neck? or the PCV valve it self?

P/N 53032389AC is what is shown for 1999-2001 WJ 4.7L.

Re: Part number required

It probably is the PCV valve itself, it has a small metal valve inside. It quite easily breaks of when you try to remove the attached hose when the engine is cold. The hose gets quite stiff and difficult to remove. When the hose is of, turn the valve 45 Deg ccw and pull it out.
Should be changed once in a while, because a not good working PCV can cause a lot of gunk inside your engine.
But every time when you want to remove the hose, warm it up a bit with hot water or do it on a warm engine. In this way the change to break the valve is a lot less.:thumbsup:
