Today I just upgraded my champion spark plugs to Bosch Iridium plugs, and man the difference is remarkable. So remarkable I had share this with everyone, I shaved nearly 3 tenths of a second off my 0-60 time.

So heres how I stacked up before the tune up.
Heres my 2006 Black Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 5.7L Hemi , Stock HP 330 , Current Est 385-390HP

How are you getting 385-390HP with just a cat-back, tune and exhaust? Have you done a Dyno yet?

BTW, throttle body spacers don't do anything. (They don't increase volume)

I'm not hating, but I want to know how it's 385-390HP?

Yup ,not to be an ass but , after all your modes in best case scenario you could probably gain about 15-20something ponies .sorry , headers ,heads ,cam ,tune. thats where you get around 400 . I wish it could be so simple :)

Yeah I think the 22s you added probably canceled out the effect of your mods :D

Re: New 0-60 time 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7L

I simply did the math using a horsepower calculator found online. My 1/4 time is 14.66 @ 95 mph, the weight of my car 4780(weighed it on a public scale)- after inputting the numbers into the HP calculator I get 309hp @ rear wheels and 387 approx engine HP.

http://www.fastcoolcars.com/hp_calculator.htm Im not saying this calculator is accurate but Its what I was going off for now until I have it dynoed on the 1st of june.

Oh! and times dont lie, they give results. 0-60 under 6 is pretty damn good and consistent with about 375-390Hp for a 2006 jeep grand cherokke 5.7lL with a stock HP of 330 Hp. But we will have to see, for the dyno.

Is it you guys dont believe my "times" or you just dont believe the HP my Jeep puts out.???? I post some vids of my runs.

Re: New 0-60 time 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7L

I run faster than a 14.6 with a CMR Tune, cat-back and a intake.

It "says" that its 387HP, but it's not. Best thing to do it to take it to a Mustang Dyno and find out the real results, then I will believe it.

Make sure to post up the dyno pulls. Make sure they do at least three pulls. I prefer a Mustang dyno since it measures how much to the wheel it puts down also for the most accurate power you are putting down.

Once again, I'm not hating, I'm just saying.

GL and post up some vids!

i'm not so sure about that calc... i put my numbers into it and got 560 at the flywheel.... that's over 100 more HP than my estimate.

No hard feelings, thx for the responses. Once I get my custom tune, I'll post again with the results. Because words is just talk, and i can see the concern of me proving it. Ill be back. By the way what else can I do to improve my 5.7L.?

Anything is possible, Question is what are your goals and how much do you want to spend?

As for the Dyno. It is a tuning tool. Why are you going to Dyno it? If it's free go ahead if it's gonna cost you, save your money!

Datalog your Jeep and work with a tuner if you decide to go further into your build.

Dynoing is not needed with your current mods. Save your loot for more mods.
