Planning to replace the EGR valve on our '05 GC with 4.7L and 92K miles. Would like to know how the EGR tube is removed from the intake manifold? There is no tube mounting bolt as depicted on some DIY threads. The tube insets into the manifold. What am I missing?

once you remove the bolts from the block the tube is just pulled outward from the intake manifold. Use caution not to tear the ring when removing from manifold

So does the EGR tube have to be completely pulled out of the manifold to remove and reinstall the valve? Can it be rotated a bit for clearance. And if damaged, is the ring a replaceable part?

Man, I'm trying to cover all bases before getting started on this project.

Thanks in advance.

It's so.tight back in there.....I removed it. The ring is replaceable
Just unbolt the valve and pull the tube out. Much easier in the long run
