Info on Side steps

I have 2 younger kids and would like to put a set of side steps on my Overland. Would preffer to put on the tubular type and was just wondering what everyone finds as a good product that looks good and lasts. Have looked at Romik and Westin but am open to others.

Definitely go with the chrome Jeep/Mopar tubular side steps. Plenty of pics on Jeep Garage (just search). Have 6 & 9 year old grandkids and the side steps keep them from banging their shins as they did on my 2005 GC.

I have the factory installed OEM Jeep/Mopar side step and I think they do the job as intended. Although I would prefer the one on Land Rover that will slide out from underneath when you open the doors :-D

Have you looked on Ebay? Several choices there and they don't mind if you are just looking. :)

Yea you can get the OEM steps from jparts for $480.

Ask how much shipping to Canada would be.

Do I need any additional parts to install that? Mounting hardware of any kind?

All should be included

I love the chrome tubular side steps. Just had the 3 grandkids (twins age 9 and grandson age 6) hopping in and out of the GC LTD for 2 days and they always use the side steps. No more bashed shins and knees like in the 2005 WK Laredo!

For sure go with the Jeep/Mopar steps. I was up in the air as well and I'm glad I went with the Mopar steps.

Good Luck.
