Check engine p0325 p0442 :( questions help
Well I looked down on my dash today and the check engine light is on.
I did the key dance and got p0325 and p0442.

Wj jeeps says the p0325 is :

Knock Sensor 1 Circuit (Bank 1 or Single Sensor)

Knock sensor (# 1) signal above or below minimum acceptable threshold voltage at particular engine speeds.

And p0442 is :
Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (medium leak)

I replaced the gas cap just to see but what else could be causing this evap code? Has anyone ever had this knock sensor code issue? How Do you go about replacing them?

*Thanks for your help in advance.

I would start with resetting them and see if they come back.

How do you go about removing them? From what I've read you need to remove the intake manifold but I'm not sure.

Update: well I now only have one code left. It is a p0455 large evap leak.

Does anyone know where the common fail points are? My canister and everything is in the driver rear fender. Could this be a ldv? Or a hose issue. I went down there but could not visibly see and cracks/splits/holes.

Its normally a hose issue, especially where the tube passes the rear axle. The rubber hoses dry out and crack. But ofcourse it could be at some other point as well, even the gas cap could be the problem. Check first if its fastened ok.

Gas cap is tight. Even tried an aftermarket one with a no go.

I can't visually see anything. But I do notice when started I hear a repeated clicking for a while in the driver rear fender where all the stuff is.

Does anyone has any ideas for a homeade smoke machine to help trace the leak?
