Cruis control not working? Check your alignment!

After taking my WK in to get custom headers made (which they lowered the sub-frame to do) it natuarlly required an alignment.

The alignment was done but the steering wheel had a little play and wasnt centered. The cruise control worked on and off. It even turned itself off sometimes.

I took it back to get the steering wheel tightened up and realigned and centered then voila! The cruise control works again without issue.

So, I cant explain exaclty why that was but chances are the Jeep didnt agree with an off-centered steering wheel when activatiing cruise control.

..-maybe the direction angle sensor in the steering column was activated indicating a turn and thus disabling the cruise control

Be happy

Wow, who would have thought? Hope I can get mine to work then.

Meh... There may have been something weird, but there would be a bigger problem with the design of CC if it shut off when cornering ;)

Ultimately if they left it loose, I would be more interested to find out what they left loose.
