Sorry Glen, can't really help. The only problem I've had with the interior is that the mud off my boots doesn't self eject. :eek:Still have to get the good ol' vacuum cleaner out.
Anything specific we should look out for?

Show us a picture of the problem. You will also need to be more specific as to the problem. If it is just a plastic part, I am sure it can be replaced, but a leather dash may be a different story.

Sorry guys, was a little vague with my post. The defect was/is the long creme coloured plastic trim panel that run between the passenger door frame and the windscreen, dash board to roof, but my dealer called today and is replacing it at it's 1000km service, no quibble. (Lucky I spotted it straight after getting the car home.) This is definitely damage caused either during manufacture or shipping and I wonder if there are other owners who have experienced the same. I wonder if they store the rear parcel shelf or other items on that side of the car during transit? The damage is a pretty sharp nick out of the plastic.

I had the same issue with interior and exterior trimmings damaged either on delivery or in transit.

At the 10k service the dealer replace front left passenger door trimming, whole roof liner, fixed damage to centre console and replaced a outside door panel at right rear passenger door.

The parts took 3 months once ordered to come into stock from America, moon, where ever it came from.

I had the same issue with the rear passenger door trim, it was missing 4-5 lugs and they replaced it at the 10k service.

Now just need to find out where an irritating rattle in the passenger seat is coming from. It almost sounds like the leather rubbing or maybe the airbag in the side of the seat or even the headrest. I try and place pressure on various parts of the seat as I'm driving but cannot pin point.

Seems whoever manufactured the seats for CJD needs to spend more on R&D!

Hood latch also rattle when in drive but stationary.

Hopefully they'll nail these niggling issues before 2014 models are built and before they get stuck into the next generation GC.

Maybe they are storing spares inside the vehicles during shipment???
I would not be surprised if Chrysler Aust were doing that to save money.

I had an issue where when the service guys installed the rock rails, he scratched up the passenger side door panel.

Took 7 weeks to get another one from the US - Luckily didnt affect the operation of the car..

Yep, 30 sets of recovery hook assemblies stored on the passenger seat. Sounds about right?

Hi AussieWK2, sure your rattle isn't the one some of us have which is behind the glove box?
I read about this some time ago on one of the forums and sure enough after 6 weeks ownership, it's finally popped up. Not always there, just at some speeds or on some road surfaces.

Just had our 10k service today and one of my items to be attended to was a rattle/buzz at certain speeds and surfaces - that appeared to be coming from the top LH corner of the dash - I believed it was from the air distribution vent under the windscreen and in the LH corner, and the reason for that was it stopped when a hand was put on it.....
When I reported it at checkin it was - "no worries, we can fix that"...then at pickup the docket says "rattle LH corner of dash - adjust A/C pipes from touching".
Hmmmm - we'll see......

I put this in to get fixed along with the addition of the front recovery hook. Got into a heated argument over the cost of the hook and forgot about the trim defect. So did they apparently. I'll take it up again at the 10,000km service.
