Summit mod

Hey Guys-

I need some help from you. I have a 2011 Black Overland Summit with Chrome siderails. I am really loving the mod where you guys have removed the side panels and replaced with SRT8 lettering. However, I have been looking at all of the mods but I haven't seen this mod on a Black Summit with chrome bars. Because I have trouble visualizing what this would look like, is there a picture out there of an overland summit in black with chrome siderails with the SRT8 lettering (chrome panels removed)?

Also, I reside in Newark Delaware. I am really interested in having the back chrome part painted in brilliant black however leaving Jeep in chrome. Who can do this? Any recommendations?

Thank you!!

Check out these two threads. Scott has done some nice work for some members here.

Here's a Brilliant Black member who had work done on the rear chrome.

I'm a Brilliant Black Summit and Scott is presently hard at work on my rear chrome strip leaving the logo in chrome like this one. Hopefully I will have it back within a week and will post pictures.

To remove your rear strip, follow the instructions in Moosehead's post in the above thread (direct link: http://jeepgarage.org/showpost.php?p...9&postcount=28). You don't need to take off the interior liftgate to remove the chrome, just pry a bunch of plastic clips and loosen some 3M tape - I did mine with a long flathead screwdriver with no damage at all. The UPS store sells a big cardboard tube that will fit the strip nicely with room for padding.
