Lemon Law NC - Help needed
Looking to get some advice on the Lemon Law. I know each state is different so details may vary.

NC Lemon Law states:

The vehicle has been out of service during or while awaiting repair of a defect or series of defects for a cumulative total of 20 or more business days during any 12 month period of the warranty, provided that the consumer has notified the manufacturer directly in writing of the existence of the defects or series of defects and allowed the manufacturer a reasonable period, but not more than 15 calendar days, to fix them. This last requirement makes it vital that customers write the manufacturer directly about the problems early on if the dealer is having trouble getting them fixed. Do not let the dealer talk you out of writing the manufacturer directly. You must do this to get your rights under the law.

My question is do I need to send a letter to Chrysler if they are already aware of the case and I have been assigned a case number since day 1?

I bought a 2011 Overland Summit on 22May2012 with 4k on it. I had the truck for less they 12 hours before I had to take it to the shop... they have had it ever since.

Im not sure where I stand with this but would like to get some opinions from the guys that have been through this. Should I start getting stuff ready for this, where do I start?

Thanks guys. I really appreciate your time.

Yes, in any legal case, you need evidence. I would send the letter "certified" asap... good luck.

Do I need to wait until I meet the Lemon Law period?

Also what do I need to include in the letter?

You need to wait until you have met the Lemon Law period according to what I have read up on. In the letter include all issues the vehicle has, list contact with the dealer service department and any work orders you have. Send it certified to the manufacturer as the previous posted said AND also send a copy to the dealer.

Disclaimer: I'm not an attorney, this is what I have read about during research.
