Nitrogen Tank for Airing Up
Anyone here using a nitrogen tank in their WK for airing up after a day of off-roading? I'm considering installing one instead of installing a compressor. A 5lb Powertank will give me about 8 30PSI refills on my 32's.

If you're running one or are considering it, where are good mounting locations? I was initially thinking of putting it under the rig near the spare tire and shrouding it with fiberglass to prevent damage to the tank as well as damage to the vehicle should something compromise the tank's integrity. I use my trunk space often so I'd like to avoid putting it in the trunk if possible.

Re: Nitrogen Tank for Airing Up
Well just to inform you all, I went with a 5lb CO2 tank. The local shop said I should be able to get about 8 tires filled up with that size tank. I have yet to mount it, but when I do, I'll post up some pictures.

Here's a photo of it installed.
A close up of the bolts. They're 1in long 5/16-18 hex bolts. I stacked a few fender washers in there for added rigidity and it's got a lock washer on the back end to hold it in place.

Very Nice. I like that.

I dig that too, I am sure it fills the tires up MUCH quicker than a small compressor.

This past weekend I had the opportunity to go wheeling with our very own fellow member Omlet and after some fun, I finally got to test out the tank. On my 265/70/18's, from 25psi to 40psi took about 25 seconds per tire.
