climate control

I have a 2005 hemi GC. The ac works on the driver's side, but blows heat on the passenger side. Everything I see online says it was a big problem up to 2004, but there is nothing about '05 and later. Did Jeep change the whole set up?

Re: climate control

Probably the blend door or the blend door actuator. Looking at the FSM the actuator door doesn't look too bad to get to, not sure about the blend doors themselves.

I don't think it is that common of an occurrence, but have heard of people having these sorts of problems.

is it heat? or just uncooled air? just read something last week on here guy with same problem(not heated but uncooled) ended up being low on refrigerant. other than that i agree with above poster

Re: climate control

Believe it or not, I got off easy on this one... One of 2 things cured the problem. I held the AC and the recirculate buttons for a while and it may have recalibrated the system. OR, it's as simple as rotating the temperature knob back abd forth for a while and "cleaning" it. Anyway, it is all fixed, and didn't cost a penny! I had also run the OBD, turning the key on and off 3 times looking for a code. There were no codes, so I took that as a good sign and kept trying other stuff.

Glad it worked out, and was such a simple solution!
