Trailer Brake Control Box wires - where?
Hey guys I need to ask the PROS something...

(My Grand Cherokee is an '05 trailrated AWD 5.7ltr with the tow package)

I just bought a 27' 5500# camper and I'm hooking up the brake control box. Ive researched & understand about pulling the green wire out -- it's my brake wire that goes to the back.

I'm ok with that, but what about the others on the contrl box??Where did you hook those up? I freak about being neat and professional (although I'm far from a professional) you know what I mean...

I got three (3) wires --

1. Ground (white)
2. Red (brake/stop light)
3. Black (power/battery+) needs a fuse (check)

Where should I hook these up? I bought one of those four pin cheater harnesses It looks like I cant hook that up So I will cut one end of it off and hook each wire up seperatly So I can use the other end of the harness to plug the box in and out If I care to.

Hey man you guys are awesome. Thanks for your brain power.

Re: Trailer Brake Control Box wires - where?
if you cant use the cheater wire( you didnt say why) than im guessing its the wrong one.
why not make it easier on yourself and wait till you get the correct one?
but picking up a ground i would think almost anywhere thats metal and not rubber mounted. the stop signal im thinking the only dedicated stop signal is going to be the 3rd brake light.
