Observations after 10 days of ownership

Like the title says today is my tenth day and 1200 miles. I picked the jeep up and after going back and forth on parts needed to add the hitch and the Front fascia woe's I was wondering if I got 61K worth of sports SUV. The hitch is no bigee, it will get sorted and the Fascia issue will surely get a TSB in the future, but sucks we have to wait for it since they have known of the issue for six months. After driving it to work and putting maybe 10 miles on it a day I went to a wedding up near ST. Louis Friday afternoon. My trip went through the Arkansas Ozark mountains and up through the Missouri hills. Long story short, it was a friggin blast! 20mph posted hairpins could be slaughtered at 60-70 mph without even feeling like it was being pushed. And the great thing about it, it felt as sure footed in auto as it did in sport or even track mode with just a tad more roll. I know this truck is capable of much more than Im willing or need to wring out. Track mode proved to be brutal in the twisties and basically put in in dog fighter mode, but I managed to cross the line with the wifey during that little stint.

Sunroof all the way open, AC and seat AC's on high, 90 degree day with not a cloud in the sky, Tunes turned up, crossing the buffalo river.....man it felt good and doing it all in a Jeep just made it better.

When I hit the interstate near Branson, lets just say I set the cruise from 2800-3K rpms depending on visibility. I did a few bursts here and there up to 1:15-1:20 which comes on smooth and very quick. I also slowed to normal limits when needed :D I averaged 16.7 mpg on the trip up, which I thought was really good for not being broke in and having a very heavy foot most of the way. This thing is solid guys and feels as safe as my moms 7 series.

Enough of the cheerleading, Im happy. The WK2 does everything very well and looks damn good while doing it. After this weekend I realized this truck has it all and really needs nothing, but thinking about what its going to be like with some MILD tuning or mods...lets say 30-70 horses is really just going to put the cherry on top.

Im off to get my fascia fixed tomorrow at the dealer and need a brake duct that flew off.
I agree, 30hp to 70hp would be just perfect , should put it ahead of hyper SUV competitors (at least if they're stock ) on the street

No fix or TSB as of yet. I have read where others have had the entire fascia replaced for it to only pop back out a couple of days later. Im def gonna wait for a true fix from Jeep
