First road trip

Hi all,

So we have now had the GC for 5 full days, so it was time for a road trip. We headed out of Sydney, south west to the Southern Highlands. Had breakfast at Bowral, and then drove out to Belmore Falls. It was the GC's first go at dirt roads and of course it just walked it.

Then back to Berrima, Kangaroo Valley, Berry, Kiama and back home again.

Some really thick fog, and slippery roads due to the wet and cold weather, but it was an easy drive. The CRD really is a beauty. Has 650kms on it now and i'm really looking forward to it opening up a bit more.

Here's a couple of pics of the GC at Hindmarsh Lookout near Belmore Falls.

Nice little loop - pity the weather wasn't a bit kinder to you because it is pretty country.
Looks like you have been studying the book to make use of those fog lights.
I know you will continue to enjoy the thing - we certainly still are.

Off to warmer climates for us on Thursday - hooking up the van and heading to Cooktown....

OMG ! You got the new car dirty. I drove mine across a puddle and could not wait to get the Karcher out when I got home.
The GC has sat in the garage all weekend due to the rain.

Hell yeah!

When it's clean though it looks sensational. The polished alloy wheels with the white lettering on the Cooper tyres contrast beautifully with the True Blue and tinted windows. Everyone who sees it just loves it. So yep, got to get it cleaned up soon.

Another shot from yesterday. We were stopped on a road near Bowral so my wife and daughter could go and say hello to some alpacas. My daughter took this and applied a tilt shift filter ....
