Air Helper Springs or better?

Hey guys I need professional help here. I need to do this one time 'cause money is tight!

I just bought a pull behind camper. 5500#'s - Power is no problem my GC is AWD w/ the HEMI. BUT IT SQUATS!!! I've been doing some searching and mostly I see Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper springs or AIRLIFT 1000.

Are these items my only option? Will they work? I need to level my Jeep big time. I was pulling the camper home today and hit a sew long bumps and the jeep acted like it was a rocking chair.

Please Please give me any advice youve got. Are there any other options I can look at? I'd like to look at it all.

Thanks.. John

I just put stock length Monroe load levelers (part #: 58646) on our diesel and it dramatically helped when towing. They were about $90 on Amazon. Don't know about the airbag systems though.

I havent had them on a wk, but if you put air bags on dont tie them together. on turns the air just shifts from one side to the other and lets/helps you lean, hooked up separate keeps everything stable.

Re: Air Helper Springs or better?

I installed the Firestone Air Helper Springs on my 2005 WK GC w/5.7 last week. I want to tow my ATV's and don't want to experience what you describe. I am also installing a trailer brake controller. I have not actually towed anything yet. I set the helper spring pressure at 11 PSI. The Jeep seems to corner much better, but at freeway speeds it seems to bounce more than before when it encounters undulations in the road. I may try reducing the pressure to 5 PSI when not towing to improve highway response. If you go the air helper route, think through what you want to accomplish as the instructions are rather generic. Overall, I am satisfied with the results.

I love my firestone ride rite air bags. Easy install and use.
