Anyone riding Dueler Revo's?

Its time for some new tires and im thinking about Dueler Revo 245-65-r17. What do you guys think? Is it a good street tire that will handle the snow? Right now I have the crappy stock all season 235-65-r17's. I seen a few online sites wanting like 156 a tire is that about right?

A buddy of mine had Revo's on his DD Escape. LOUDEST ALL TERRAIN TIRE EVER. Not impressed at all.

I run Firestone Destination AT's on my WJ. I'm very happy with them. They were cheaper than the Revo's too.

P rated silent armors are very quiet and not that heavy i'd recommend them over revos

I am new here and have no experience of these tyre's but

General Grabber HTS seem to be getting a lot of rave reviews

See http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....el=Grabber+HTS

or http://ezinearticles.com/?General-Gr...ire&id=2708007

I will be fitting them when my Goodyear Wranglers wear out

Re: Anyone riding Dueler Revo's?

I went through 2 sets of Revo's on my WJ and I thought they were great for all around use. Good in the snow, off road and stuck like glue on wet pavement. I just had a set of 245/70/17 Revo 2's installed on my WK a couple weeks ago. So far they seem to be as good as the original Revos - time will tell. IMO they are not a loud tire compared to other all terrain tires. Compared to other all terrains I have had they are quiet. BTW the original Revo's are discontinued.

Re: Anyone riding Dueler Revo's?

Are the duelers heavy? I do 99.9% of my riding onroad and want something that will still give me performance on the street and maybe for a few track runs until I can get some SRT wheels and tires but work good in the ocassional snow. I do like the look of the duelers, my brother has them on his Dodge and my dad on his Chevy but im concerned about any loss in acceleration going from a 235-65-r17 to a 245 dueler. I would go with an all season tire but once I get the SRT wheels these stock wheels with the revo's would be by snow/mud tire.

I went from 235/65/17 Wranglers to the 255/65/17 Destinations, and gained 7 lbs per corner. I believe the similiar size Revo was 1 lb per tire heavier IIRC.

Wow so im looking for around 4lbs per corner heavier with the 245 Revo's? I guess I could always go for the stock 245 wrangler's sra all terrains that came stock on the limited offroad package models, they looked pretty good on my brothers and seemed to work well on the street from the times I drove it but the reviews on tirerack suck for them and they are 161 a pop. Im sure i'd be better off with 235's but 235's look like crap and way too small for a 17in wheel on a jeep.

don't worry about the difference in weight from a new set of tires its like the difference in overall weight from having a half tank vs a 3/4 full tank

I've had 4 sets of Revo's 2- on different Libby's 1- 05 WK Hemi LTD and 1- 06 Hemi XK... I love them and wouldnt drive on any thing else... had 255/65's on both the WK and XK... don't wory about the weight difference...they are quiet and great in the winter!

Did you guys with 245 revo's see any performance loss on the street over the stock ones with the bigger tread and slightly bigger tire?
