SRT Wheel Chipping

Is anyone having any issues with the finish on their SRT wheels not holding up , have had the SRT for 4 month and have 3 wheels with sever chips in them all ready. I could understand if they had hit curbs or I had been driving on gravel roads but normal city driving i dont think so , these chips are not even near the outside of the wheels, could it be a defective group of wheels or are they made with softer material than the normal Grand Cherokee wheels

^ did yours show any scratches/indents at or close to the damaged spot? mine is pretty clean & smooth all over and absolutely no evidence of any scratches or dents around it; the picture might not be that clear to show clearly the absence of scratches/dents. it looks as if that spot just peeled itself off from the wheel!

Those pictures are what mine look like , yes I would agree with it looking like rocks being thrown up from street traffic , i dont understand why on these wheels is it happening this quickly, I have never had any issues like this on my other jeeps I also have a 2011 70 Annivesery Grand Cherokee that is over a year old that drives on the same streets with prefect wheels. Could it be the design of the wheel and the lighter weight materials these wheels are made of ? Sounds like time to get them power coated.

I'm at 10200 miles and have 2 wheels with same issues, the dealer has someone coming out to refinish them

Haven't had that particular issue, just driver induced curb rash. Wheel and tire warranty FTW. Looks like new now.

I don't know how much of an issue it really is, but I did notice that I have 2 wheels with very small nicks in the paint. I found that to be very odd for such a new vehicle that drives the same highway I have always driven with no problems.
