it wont help increase mpgs, but you are currently getting an incorrect reading. if you want improved mpgs when did you install large tires and a lift?

Exactly what size tires are you running?

Re: MPG help anyone?

Your new tires are 10% bigger. So if you want to hand calculateyour mileage you would add 10% to your distance travelled. YOu go 300 miles on a tank, you actually went 330 miles. So divide your gallons used by 330 instead of 300. You should see a 2 mpg improvement over what the evic says.

Either way those 285's are big and heavy and need more energy to turn over. = less mpg's.

Stock tire size, lightweight tires, mild tread pattern, air dsm on, roof rack bars off is still your best mpg combo. I get 23 on the highway like that.

Yes, give it a tune up and put smaller tires and stock suspension back on it. Tune up: replace parts that wear out like plugs, wires, sensors, EGR, PCV, ALL fluids, ALL filters.
