Trail Rated Badge position

I'd like to put a trail rated badge on the Laredo. I know it goes on the driver's side front fender but not sure exactly where. On WJs it goes 2-7/16" down from the crease and 1-7/8" forward of the edge of the fender. On a WK2, these dimensions would have it interfere with the side blinker. US cars don't have side blinkers so that probably explains why the export models don't get the badge despite it being listed in the build sheets. I couldn't get any information from Chrysler. My guess is it's in Chrysler's too hard basket so they just leave the badges off. Does anyone have any information on this? If not, I'll just pick a spot.

Bob, you are getting all worked up over badge that means nothing.
Stick it on the rear opposite the 4x4 badge. I would not put one badge on a side of the car, it would need one on each side. More people will see it on the rear and wonder WTF it means......its just a load of US marketing BS

It's supposed to be on the LH side where the side blinker is. However I'd put it on the tailgate.

I agree 100% with Savvas, however here's some pictures after the Rubicon where Jeeps earn their Trail Rated medal.......Looks like it fell off the mountain...not climbed it!! http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f67/2...36/index2.html

Maybe this will help? However the blinkers aren't required here. Picture at left hand bottom will show my badge.

I also would locate it on the tailgate, opposite the other badges

Don't mean to be rude but I didn't ask for opinion.

Agreed, and it differentiates our vehicles from the other alsorand SUV's that would choke on a puddle but claim to be 4x4. Including some Tojo's amd Mitsu's:slapfight:

American vehicles have the badge on the heft hand side so on my RHD vehicle I figured it should be on the right hand side. Export vehicles have blinkers exactly where the badge is supposed to go so I had to align it as best I could in relation to the blinker. I must admit it looks considerably better on American vehicles without the blinker nearby. Please, no jokes about trail rated blinkers. I toyed with putting it at the back but there is enough crap there already. Manufacturers put badges on vehicles for two reasons, advertising and people like them so pay more money. So, for the sake of a piece of plastic worth a few bucks I figure I've increased the resale value of the car by a few hundred bucks. Best investment I ever made.
