Glovebox rattle

When going over 70 the bottom right side of my glove box rattles stops when pressure is applied. Anybody else have this issue

Yes, unfortunately I have had a similar glove box rattle......very faint, but definitely there. The quick and dirty solution I employed was to put something between the panels to make the closing contact tighter, e.g. you have to use a bit more pressure to close the glove box than normal. It keeps it tighter and rattle free. I used some folded up paper to see if it worked and, after seeing (and hearing) that it did, decided to place a small rubber strip on the door edge with some adhesive. Success!

I also have this problem, will be trying the piece of rubber as a fix. Annoying as all hell...

I don't have the issue in my Jeep but I bought a well-used car for my daughter and after a thorough cleaning (I found coins inside the door panels) I reassembled parts using an assortment of felt furniture pads. Now the car is rattle free.

my glovebox doesn't lock properly unless you push on it and then turn the key.

YES! I'm so glad someone brought this up. I was thinking I was the only one to experience this. When I go over bumps it rattles. When I'm on the freeway it rattles. It was enough to drive me crazy. I brought it to the dealer a few times. They changed the part that makes the glove box go down slowly. The mechanic said that they changed the design and it shouldn't rattle any longer.

I took it for a ride, it still rattles so what he changed might have fixed something else. What I found was that the pieces of the glove box fit too tight and my theory is that the rubber bumpers are allowing the plastic pieces of the glove box and the side to rub. I was going to get some felt or something and line the corners. However, I got so fed up with the sound that I got mad and pulled the glove box from the bottom. Funny thing is that it stopped the noise for a while. So now when I hear it I just pull the bottom of the closed glove box and it stops. Weird.

Just an update for those that might still be experiencing this problem. I took some rubber strips that had an adhesive on the back. I cut various strips and put them all around the glove box but nothing seemed to work. However, I figured that the part that was rattling were the latches that holds the glovebox closed. So I cut some squares and put them in the are where the latches go. I think one side of velcro would work. What I was trying to do was just prevent the latch from going back and forth.

I know it looks ugly, but nobody is seeing it and it was just a test.

So how did it do? Well, I didn't hear the rattle, though I may have heard it, but I wasn't sure. I did notice a bunch of other little rattles all around, but it could have just been stuff that's in the trunk. All I know is that I didn't hear any irritating sound. I'll know if it worked for sure as time goes on.

Is is more of a rattle or a squeak/chirp? I've been hearing a fast squeak/chirp (almost like styrofoam boxes rubbing together) coming from the passenger side but I have not been able to lock in on exactly where it is coming from. It definitely is not a rattle on mine though...

Seems to be working fine, the noise I'm hearing happens even if the fan is off.
