430N (RHB) problems after engine shutdown
This problem persists, even after engaging Chrysler Customer Support - what a waste of time they were. Back to the problem:
Driving to the airport to pick up the wife, listening to the radio, AM or FM or SAT, and pull into the cellphone lot because I'm 20 minutes early. I turn off the engine and continue to listen to the radio - EVIC is set to 10 minutes of power after engine shutdown. Change stations within the mode, let's say FM mode, with no problem. I click to SAT or AM - doesn't matter which mode I'm changing to or from - and the radio loses all sound - it mutes itself, and all the radio displays are normal. I'm still within the 10 minutes of timed power. Adjusting the volume, and I can see the bars increase and decrease, but still no sound. While pressing different modes and stations, the screen changes to that mode / station, and still shows the artist playing, but no sound. Go back to the mode I started in, and still no sound.
I'm very sure this happened after the Travel Link update, which was performed by Naperville Jeep (IL), so this has been going for almost 1 year.
Recent testing also shows that the VR button won't work during this EVIC 10 minute muted mode. No beep, and won't take any voice command.
Everything goes back to normal if you change to ACC or Run. This might sound trivial, but 10 minute power is a nice feature, and I don't like that it's not working correctly anymore.
Has anyone else heard of this, or know of a fix? The dealership has replaced the RHB with no difference.
