Jeep girl here!!! HELPPPP!!!!

Alrighty, so I have a 94 2door jeep cherokee, straight six. so far she has been great....
Now, I got problems!!!
When she gets hot, she does not want to shift....at all!!! thinking i was low on tranny fluid, cause my mustang does kinda the same thing when shes thirsty, I put on my late husbands carhart suit and climbed underneath.
Nope, she has tranny fluid! figgered while I was down there i gave her an oil change too.
just came back from a 60mile trek into idaho and back, and dang, she doesnt want to shift again. so, turned her off, stuck her in 2nd gear, and limped back up my hill to home.
could this be the transfer case?? dont think it is the clutch, cause she goes from 1st to reverse when she is just sitting, and I took my foot off while in gear and she shut down immediately.
I'm a single mom, trying to do all this stuff on my own, and really dont have the money required for a mechanic, so i am truly hoping i can take care of whatever is the problem!!
Just today put in for vacation on 5th and 6th to take my 16yr old boy camping..I have to be mom and dad now!
so someone out there any ideas????

I'm guessing a pressure solenoid valve, but I'm more familiar with the Grand Cherokees because that's what my old grand Cherokee did to me weather it was cold or warmed up when it was trying to shift

Gov pressure solenoid could be a problem but it sounds like your tranny is about to self destruct

Just wandering why the crawl under the Jeep to check tranny fluid level. I believe their should be a dipstick in the back of the engine compartment. Good Work and Good Luck.
