Tire Rotation
Is it detrimental to get your tires rotated (X pattern) after not having them rotated on regular intervals?

Reason I ask is because I just had them rotated for the first time in 25K since I've had the car and since then I have noticed the ride is much more bumpy/unstable than before. Also, getting a lot more cabin vibrations and noise when going over the smallest of bumps. Vibration when accelerating at low speeds as well.

I got it done at Firesone. I doubt they balanced them as well. Could this be the issue?

I figured I was just working against some new tread with the new positions, but it's been 3 weeks and still no improvement.

Re: Tire Rotation
I'll note I also have a clunk when jiggling the wheel with the engine off that sounds like it's coming from the rack and pinion. I ocassionaly will get the same clunk when marking sharp turns (like into parking spaces).

Gonna have to try and pinpoint that next weekend, but I don't think it's contributing to the issue described above.
