New Grill and Rim change

hey everyone,

new on here, been in the process of making some changes to my 01 gc. I recently ordered a replacement oem grill online, but i want to paint it black. What would you guys recommend i use paint wise to paint it (since its the plastic material)?
Im also considering painting my rims, ive been investigating the plasti-dip method (dont know TOO much yet) has anyone tried this? know someone?
thanks in advance im looking forward to any input.

Hello and welcome to JG! There are lots of people on here that have used plasti-dip to paint wheels and grilles. I haven't used it yet, but I hear its fairly easy to work with, durable, and if you don't like it, it peels right off.

Welcome!

I just painted my stock chrome grill using Krylon Fusion black paint that you can probably pick up at any local auto store. Below is the before and after picture. You can also use Plasti-dip as well. I was actually planning on using Plasti-dip but was out and didn't feel like going to the store. So I used the Krylon I had in the garage. http://www.jeepgarage.org/f197/chrome-grill-mod-43202.html

Here is Plasti-dip for the wheels.

I recommend when doing the Plasti-dip for your rims do it on your spare first if you have one. You can screw up, cut the section you don't like off and respray. YES, you can literally edge out sections that you screwed up in and peel it off.
