Well I picked it up!
Hey all, New guy here just picked up my first GC a few days ago. It's an 04 limited with the basic 4.7 and quadradrive. I'm an autobody guy so I bought it wrecked, light hit in the front passenger side. Just needs some minor frame rail work and the bumper, grill, cooling, etc put back on. I got it and a parts jeep for $4k. It only has 44500 miles and is in ridiculously good shape aside from the wreck.

I'll get pics up soon of the fix/build progress. I plan to upgrade the motor in the future with intake, exhaust and a good tune job if not more and if the wifey will loosen her pockets a little, some handling and towing mods.

Glad to be here I'm pretty excited about all the info here about these things.

Re: Well I picked it up!
Sounds like you got yourself a hell of a deal:thumbsup:. If you plan on towing and would like to improve the handling, i highly recommend an Addco rear sway bar. It is a night and day difference to say the least. Which shocks you run is going to be a debate and a lot of personal preference. As for the intake, you cant go wrong with the K&N fipk. The plastic one is the one you want as it doesnt get heat soaked, thus adding a bit more power.
Exhaust is another thing that will be a lot personal preference--i'm running a Flowmaster super 44 on my 4.7 and couldnt be happier. There are a few options that are quieter and im sure someone else will chime in here with what they have.

Enjoy your WJ and good luck with the repairs!...ready for some pics

Good luck and post some pics! Afters are nice, but they are better if there are some "befores" as well. I have to agree with everything JeepGC60th said. The addco sways are a HUGE improvement to handling. All of my mods are in my sig, and I've had nothing but excellent results from all of them. Pretty rare when that happens...
