Water underneath the tail hatch.
When I wash my 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee at the carwash with the high-pressure hose, I noticed water below the liftgate. I wipe off the water and close the liftgate. When I reopen the hatch there is more water below the liftgate. There is no water on the inside of the flipper glass or there is no water on the inside of the liftgate. Has anyone experience this situation and does anyone know where the water is coming from? There is no leaking water below the liftgate from rain.
Re: Water underneath the tail hatch.
I figured out the leak problem. When spraying high pressure water during a car wash, the water appears to get into the latch. The water then drips through the liftgate. If I do not spray the latch there is no water below the liftgate.
