Projector Headlights

Silly question... I am lookin at getting some HIDs for the ride... before I put those in... I wanna put projector headlight housings on it.. Will the OEM housings for 2008 fit correctly on a 2006 wk? If not, how difficult is it to retrofit the standard headlights with projectors.. im a little beginner with electrical but i have some experience with wrenching.. any input would be wonderful!? THANKS!

08 lights will mount but the bumper and light bottom will have a gap.

Retro fit there are a million threads on that. Simple search will get you details.

All totaled, how much did that cost you?

i had the benefit of doing the conversion when i had an accident so the insurance company covered it. but i did buy the srt bumper recently to upgrade over my regular 08-10 bumper for $375 and it was already painted to match. if you are lucky enough to have a color that was used in 05-07 as well as 08-10 you might be able to find everything dirt cheap.

Some people make custome pieces that can cover the gap. If you just want these headlights its not worth chaging all these parts even though it does look very cool. I know omelet made some custom humps for the gap and scott before getting his 08+ bumper cut the humps off of a newer bumper to cover the gap. I just recieved my new headlights i think i may just have the clear gap painted black to match my car.

Thats cool i didnt realize that scott had the 08 stillens on his ride when he had the older bumper style. My new OEM projector headlights have the 08 stillens on it and was wondering how it would look with humps made to fill the gap. Looks pretty good! I think i will buy a scrapped bumper to do this.
