Is there an updated location for this PDF on removing the spoiler? I'm about to pull mine off to add a g-sensor that causes the third brake light to flash at different rates if braking causes the vehicle to reach .6 and .8 Gs.

Re: **HOW TO** Remove the rear spoiler

The way I removed the rear spoiler on my wife's old 14 Durango was simple. I sat in the driveway and noticed that the right garage door was ope, it annoys me when people forget the garage door open so I closed it. It then opened again, so I closed it again. Then my wife emerged from the garage without a rear spoiler, that quickly folded on to the roof.......

I'm sure there is a better way to remove it, but my wife forgave me eventually

Thanks Scottina. And yeah MAXGroup, that would be a bad way to remove the spoiler.

I did end up getting the instructions and finally got around to putting this thing in. It was easy to pull off and add it.
The upper lift gate trim in itself is easy to get off. There's the four clips on the top and two on the side:

The lower lift gate trim needs to partially come off because it overlaps it. I really dislike the lower trim, there's clips that never line up when reinstalling it. Anyways, after that upper trim is off, there's four nuts holding the spoiler on. One each outboard of the wire harness connectors and one on each outer, forward corner:

There's also one hidden clip that even the service manual doesn't appear to show that's in the forward center:

Once it was undone, just lift and rotate forward the spoiler. The brake light connector has easy access and plenty of a wire lead to install the G-stop brake flasher:

https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4181/3...1c78834b_c.jpg

The G-Stop thing comes with everything needed and even a harness to test it out with a 9V battery:

Just peel back the wire tape on the harness enough to cut it off with enough wire lead. Then splice in the G-Stop harness:

https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4161/3...1e2f8b3a_c.jpg

The device needs to be put somewhere level and orientated correctly with the arrow labeled on it. There's a great spot where it can sit between the lift gate and the spoiler. Just clean that spot on the spoiler and stick it on:

Then it was just reinstalling the spoiler and the trim. I haven't road tested it and not certain I want to intensionally, but unfortunately with some drivers I encounter I'm sure I'll use it soon enough. I did test it out using the same test method for the 9V battery. I left the lift gate fully open and press the brakes, after turning on it started flashing since it detects the G-force. And of course when the lift gate's closed and press the brakes it's completely steady. I've got video of the test, but haven't figured out how to post video with Flickr. Here's an overview and test someone did with one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0UY8xaWi8w&t=394s
