X-Mas in July
The Ford Territory forum organise a X-Mas in July dinner evry year. As many of us are Ex Ford, and the interest in that Forum is now weining, I wondered if anyone here would be interested in attending.

Firstly, you do not have to own/or have owned a Ford. It is a family and social event.

The venue this year is Janolean Caves. They have organised a rate at the Bowen Hotel in Lithgow 27th-28th July which is $200 p/couple/day. That includes 2 nights + continental breakfast + 3 course dinner with bottle of wine.
There are outings to Janolean Caves, and a few dirt roads for those wanting to tryout their 4WD's. As the roads are going to be used by Territory's, us Jeep owners will have no trouble at all.

Generally, people rock up on the friday a'noon and have a get to know you drink. Usually, they end up at a pizza house for dinner. Saturday, they will probably go to the caves via a few interesting roads. Saturday evening is the X-Mas Dinner, with loads of laughs.
Sunday, they will probably go to ZigZag railway, or somewhere ineteresting before everyone heads back home in the A'noon.
Anyone interested?

At this stage we have 3 Territory"s 1 GC Jeep, and probaly a Subaru coming along.

It would be a great opportunity to meet other members of this forum.

Re: X-Mas in July
I'd love to

Unfortunately though I have to head south and drop off my son for his Duke of Edinburgh pratice hike on that Saturday and pick him up on the Sunday.

I can just imagine the jibes between the Territory and GC owners. Should be fun.

Thanks for the invite Alan!

I would be given a heap of grief after my loooong thread on JGC vs Territory in ffau, if I went on that cruise:slapfight:. I know I bought the right car :D
With 3 young kids, cruises are a thing of the past for me unfortunately, as they are just to painful to take on thing like that until they are a bit older and can roam without close parental supervision.

Re: X-Mas in July
Allan if the Subaru your referring to is mine, I am not bringing it, its built for speed not rough roads. I am coming in my Territory.

I joined this site as next year when the lease is up I intend to replace it with a Jeep. I had a J10 back in the early 80's and I have loved Jeeps ever since.

So you Jeep guys should not be shy of the Territory crew we are nice and wont embarrass you going through the rough stuff.

Great to see Mark, good thing about the Jeep is there is a heap of stuff you can buy to bling it out. I always read with interest your threads on all the cosmetic mods you did on your Tezza.

Re: X-Mas in July
Thanks Enforcer, still tossing up between a Wrangler or a Grand Cherokee. I know different cars for different purposes and I am still trying to sort out what exactly I want to do in the next car. The Wrangler really reminds me of my old J10 and with the six speed manual and the cool look versus a big Hemi with all the mod cons. Both are eminently blingable.

Will get a much better look at Allan's on this upcoming weekend to assist with making up my mind, so far I have only had a trip just around the block in his.
