Interior light don't come on with doors open?

04 limited. The lights dont come on when the doors are open only when I physically turn on the individual light?
Thanks in advance.

could be a problem with the button that reads if the door is open, or the wires between the door and frame can get bent funny. Mine will occasionally not come on, but if I shut the door and open it again they usually come on.

I thought that at first but the door open indicator works on the message screen. I'm not sure about how the wiring is on that circut but I would imagine that they are on the same circuit so If one works the other should?

The interior lights are switched via the BCM. All door positions are monitored by the BCM and it will switch all interior lights on when 1 or more door(s) will open.
Will the interior lights not switch on with any door? I know that when the left switch stack is in max dim, that the interior lights will not work, but it is a position which is normally never used, because the instrument lights will dim that much that you can hardly see anything.

Right they don't work with any doors open including the rear.
I'll check the dimmer switch this may be the problem, I usually have it turned down low in all my cars and I now I turned it down in the WJ but can't recall if I went all the way or not.
Thanks
