Opening glovebox, noise comes from engine bay?

Hello everyone. I went into the garage this morning to grab the owner's manual and other docs out of the glovebox, my windows were down and I had the key fob in my hand. So I just reached through the window and opened the glovebox, and I begin hearing whirring coming from the lower part of the engine bay area.

For what its worth, I have the air suspension and keyless enter/go but I didn't fiddle with any of those settings. just reached in and opened the glove box. It stopped after about 10 seconds. I didn't notice the car lowering or raising at all. What could this be?

The Cabin Air filter is in there so maybe it has to do with that.

Does it run/activate if it simply detects any sort of activity within the cabin, assuming that there's a person in there?

Maybe you heard the hard drive. I noticed it will spin when I open the door, not sure about when it detects the key FOB.

It's the fuel pump energizing for vehicle start up.

I never thought of the fuel pump. Is it located in the engine bay as opposed to in the fuel tank?
