Red dot flashing on dash

ok guys so i woke up this morning to go to work and my jeep (3.7 2005) did not wanted to stay on, i put the key on the ignition and this red dot on the right side kept on blinking. The car started but after a few seconds it turned off. Same thing happened at 3:30 in the morning trying to leave my friends house but i was able to keep in on by reeving it and quickly changing to reverse. Im at work now so i might have to check on the car later today.

If you guys know anything please let me know, Thank you.

the immobilizer is sending a signal to the ignition, doesnt matter if you open with the remote or the key itself. the chip got maybe wet. you should open the key and dry it out with a piece of paper or a cloth. i fell in the sea once with the key in my pocket. it never worked again

You need a new battery or key if you broke that one

new battery in the key and i'd open the fob itself up and put it in rice overnight to try to get any wetness out of it.

you guys do know that you can have a fobik or skim key (with buttons much like he has) and the car will start with NO battery right...

not if you had the doors looked from the remote and opened them without the remote. that will kill the engine after 2 seconds.
