Aux in using CD changer input?

Has anyone been able to create an Aux-in jack for the factory (infinity) headunit using the input for the CD changer on the back of the headunit?
Is there a write-up around? Haven't been able to pull anything up searching.
Not interested in the other solution on the front page that uses the tape deck
Thanks

Re: Aux in using CD changer input?

I just got done swapping my changer(useless in the trunk and without MP3 decoding) out for this.
I ended up using the USA*SPEC PA11-CHR:
http://www.amazon.com/USA-PA11-CHR-I.../dp/B000BAZFGS

I know this isn't the "nicest" product on the market, but it works just fine - especially for ~$100. It has both iPod and AUX connections available and also allows you to charge/use your iPod even while connected(to change artists, songs, etc).

It took about 20 mins to remove HU bezel, center console and side panel by glove box. I snaked the two cords behind the HVAC controller so I wouldn't have to remove it(plenty of room) and ran them next to some existing wires next to shifter. Next I drilled a hole in the center console bucket and store my iPod in there for easy access. Works great, couldn't be happier. Overall, about 10 screws and 30-45 mins and you'll be up and running.

Let me know if you have any questions/problems.

Oh yeah, when pulling the console trim out(one big piece) make sure you pull the 4WD lever down to Neutral or so, as well as the your main gear shift. This will give you enough room to get the piece over these levers, something I wrestled with for way too long.
