Zombie Apocalypse WK2

I'm a fan of AMC's "The Walking Dead" and can't help but wonder how the WK2 would do in a post-apocalyptic world. What aspects make it more than capable and which zombie killing/ survival addons would you add? :D

Is it just a coincidence that the maker of Jeeps prior to Chrysler was also AMC? Or is something more sinister at work here? Bwa-ha-ha.

They build them in Detroit. They come from a post-apocalyptic world, lol.

I'd say they would be a good zombie containment vehicle, but I also feel the roof isn't rigid enough to hold any of my belt fed weapons. :(

I think it would do great but I'd need alot of fuel however, with skids and quadra-drive I don't think it would be a problem getting where I needed to go....over zombies:)

So which would be better? The gas avings of the v6 since gas will probably be very hard to get or the V8 with enough torque and power to mow over any stubborn zombies?

JeepGuy026 07-09-2012 09:44 AM

With all the other disabled vehicles it wouldn't be that bad to be siphoning the gas for the Hemi, just rather have the power incase I need to move something heavy in the road blocking my path.

I wouldn't do well in a post-apocalypse zombie world. Heck, just last month I had my first door ding that made me cry like a schoolgirl. Zombie blood ruins your wax. Or, was that my ex-wife's blood? Crap.

Ha, thanks for the laugh.

Excellent thread. Although I love my V8, I would theorize that only a V6 would be needed to trek over unpaved areas and mow down the undead in your path. Shouldn't take much force to splatter a rotting corpse. ;)

I guess it would really depend on your location, (urban/rural etc. and zombie density).

I would also think that the laminated glass of the front windows can provide extra security that it will not simply shatter. A sunroof or pano roof can be used to stand out of to fire a weapon.

Where can I get one of these installed?

The little storage compartment under the radio nicely holds my Glock .45 with tactical laser. Very handy for panhandling zombies at off ramps. Headshots, people!
