Buring plastic smell & turn signal work when they get ready

I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. The problem that I'm having is, my turn signals work sometimes, and sometime they don't work. I've noticed a plastic burning smell. My signals seem to work when the jeep warms up, or when it's in hot weather. Has anyone else had this problem? How did you get this issue resolved?

Sounds like a bad flasher module, sometimes the solder joints inside crack causing intermittent operation. You can either buy a replacement or take apart the old one and re-solder the connections on the board to repair it.
