OEM Trailer Wiring Harness Part Number?
I just installed the oem hitch on my 2011 GC and I was wondering if you can just order the 7/4 way trailer plug from mopar. My GC like many others is already pre-wired for plug n play and I really don't want to spend the roughly $100 for the complete wiring kit when all I would need is the plug. If anyone knows where one can find one or a price or even a part number let me know. Thanks!!

This is what you are looking for. I installed this on my prewired 2012. Simple plug and play, installed in 5 mins. You will need to have the system flashed by your dealer after the install in order for all the light functions to operate.

See your dealer. You want the OEM dual-plug that snaps into the opening in your new OEM hitch. You can purchase it individually for under $40 at your dealer parts department. I will see if I can find the forum thread that lists the part number (it has been listed a few times in the forums).

Re: OEM Trailer Wiring Harness Part Number?
THe one I listed above is the exact same one as OEM, it's plug and play and it's only $29.95. Do yourself a favor and check it out? Other suggestions are no better or even worse.

I have already installed this item so I am speaking from experience. Only trying to help you out and save you some money:slapfight:

Re: OEM Trailer Wiring Harness Part Number?
By the time you pay shipping, it is basically the same price as the OEM. It is nice to know that the part you are recommending will fit the OEM opening on the hitch.

If you use OEM parts, when the dealer does the required flash - the components are added to your GC warranty coverage automatically.

Just saying, sometimes it pays to stick to purchasing OEM parts from your dealer vs non-stock over the Internet. My dealer will price-match the same or similar part from another vendor or the Internet.

Help keep your dealer in business in both service and parts departments.
