Worst Dealer Shop Experience Ever

My WK2 has been in the shop for two weeks now and still is.

The first week was trying to diagnose the bad smell from the AC, the popping from the sun roof, and fixing the already worn looking seat with 3000 miles on it. So they ordered a solution for the AC, parts for the sunroof, and a new seat cover for the worn leather.

The next week it has an appointment early Monday morning so we night drop it Sunday. This is when it goes down hill. They have my car for a week and I'm going out of town so my husband calls to see if it will be ready in time, they say it will be ready this evening. We go to pick it up and it's 10 minutes after they closed and my husband opens the car door to find the plastic siding is all still popped off, the seat belts won't come out and when they finally do they won't go back in, and the seat cover isn't replaced. The only thing done was the solution that made the AC not stink. So the next morning we take it back to the shop and it will be another week before its done! Really? The Chevy dealership I took my Tahoe to would have had it done in three days at the most. All I want is my jeep to be what I paid for and my husbands already ready to get rid of it. Lol

im sorry to here about your dealer experience, it seems unless you review the dealer ahead of time then you are going to hit and miss on the quality of dealership that you buy from. Ive bought three jeeps from my local dealer and every time i needed the service department they were always courteous and i never had an issue once i got my vehicle back, heck even the salesman still took care of me after the sale, making sure i was happy and answering any questions i had. I plan on letting them exclusively service my new jeep Wk2 i just bought from them because i know ill never have a problem(knock on wood lol) I wish you and your husband luck in getting your jeep fixed, its not right to have a vehicle break at that low a milage and you might start reading up on the lemon law in case you have to use it.

My husband has done all of his research on the lemon law in our state. And we bought our jeep in California during a vacation and we live in New Mexico and there's only one dealership in my town and the next closest one is an hour away and we are strongly considering making that hour drive to get my car taken care of.

Sorry to hear about your issues hope they get resolved. I can't figure out how you have a worn seat at 3,000 miles?!?! I have 4,300 on my saddle overland and it still looks like its never even been sat in. Weird.

Overland Mom I hope you get the results you deserve I keep hearing a lot of bad things about these Dodge dealerships. I can't even try to re butte your comments because my only experience with them was bad also. I've worked on many types of vehicles since I was very young. I explained this to the dealer, and the fact that I have worked in auto shops for years. I guess he forgot that when he started telling me how hard some of the jobs are to do. Including an in depth tour through how hard the springs, shocks, and struts are to do.(I did all of them within three hours with no lift, and a friends help)Then he quoted a $3800.00 price for transmission flush, shocks, struts, springs, and of course the truck needed brakes. I'm still driving the truck 20,00 miles later, and now it will need brakes soon. How stupid do you have to be when a person tells you not to try to put one over on them you still try?
I really hope you get some satisfaction

That's what I've thought the heaviest person to sit in my seats was 160 and not for very long but the leather looks stretched like a 300 pound person has been driving it the whole 3000 miles. It is very sad because this is my dream car and my only dealership is a bust.

Update: Today the dealership called my husband and said my car was ready so we journey on down there and the first thing my husband does is check the passenger side seat belt and it still doesn't work and the plastic is still popped off. He drives it back in the bay and on the floor board of the car are three plastic pieces just laying there.

So it's another week in the shop so they hopefully can get their job done. I'm losing my mind over this dealership with my car.

I can't say anything about my dealer they are trying but chrysler is not helping them out enough.you think for a brand that just used our money to stay afloat they would me more considerate towards the ones that helped them out.

Have you had any conversations with Chrysler yet?

It's hard to believe that a dealership could be that poorly managed. Is there a designated service advisor you deal with? or is it the dreaded "the buck stops no where" team approach?

I'm getting more appreciative of my very good dealer who is 15 miles away!

We're dealing with the service manager right now. But if you ask me he's not much of one. I swear he never leaves his desk to check the car. My husband and I both decided we will be making that hour drive to get my car taken care of any more.
