Samsung Galaxy S3 capable of text messaging through 430N?

I currently have an iPhone 4 and know you can't send verbal commands for texting through the system, was wondering if anyone can do this with their S3?

I was considering upgrading to this phone, would be interested to know as well.

It's gonna be either this or a Galaxy Note.

Trying to figure out if I should wait for the new iPhone (kind of want to try android) but thats another discussion. We'll see if someone chimes in with their GS3.

Picked up the S3 yesterday and it does support text messaging through the radio controls. I just need to figure out how to send an actual message and not one of the presets!

From the U-Connect manual:

Send Messages:
You can send messages using Uconnect™ Phone. To send a new message:
• Press the <<phone>> button.
• After the “Ready” prompt and the following beep, say “SMS Send” or “Send Messages.”
• You can either say the message you wish to send or say “List Messages.” There are 20 preset messages.

To send a message, press the <<VR>> button while the system is listing the message and say “Send.” Uconnect™ Phone will prompt you to say the name or number of the person you wish to send the message to.

List of Preset Messages:
1. Yes
2. No
3. Where are you?
4. I need more direction.
5. L O L
6. Why
7. I love you
8. Call me
9. Call me later
10. Thanks
11. See You in 15 minutes
12. I am on my way
13. I’ll be late
14. Are you there yet?
15. Where are we meeting?
16. Can this wait?
17. Bye for now
18. When can we meet
19. Send number to call
20. Start without me

I am really liking it so far, there are so many fun features I still have yet to learn which is the neat part.

I just picked up the Blue Galaxy S3 last evening. I've had my first dissapointment with my JCO this morning. I can't get it to connect audio. It works fine paired as a phone device but can't get the streaming audio to work.

Worked perfect on my HTC Thunderbolt I have the 730N. yep, I get the question is for the 430.

Regarding the G3, it's thin and light compared to the Thunderbolt. Screen is brighter. I'm finding it quite a bit different than the Thunderbolt or even my Moto Xoom. Really got used to the HTC synch on the Thunderbolt. I'll get used to the S3 in time.

Tried this today but still only gave me the option to do the preset ones...

I know you have the 730N but my S3 works fine streaming audio over bluetooth with google play. Not sure why it wouldn't be working.

So what is the trick to get SMS to work. I have a 2012 with the 430N and a Galazy S3 and when I try any SMS command system responds with phone does not support feature.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S3 capable of text messaging through 430N?

So my S3 will alert and read SMS messages to me but I still can't compose through the system. Will continue to attempt to figure it out. All I've done so far is just paired it through the bluetooth and then hit the phone button and say "SMS".
