Auto lower/raise height when parking

I thought that the Jeep was supposed automatically lower itself when you turned the car off, to make it easier to get out of. And automatically raise itself back up when you start the car?

If this is the case, mine isn't doing it and I can't figure out how to set it.

You thought wrong ;-) The only time the Jeep will automatically lower itself is above 62mph (or something like that). It puts it into aerodynamic mode at highway speeds. You have to put the vehicle into park mode.

only lowers when you put it in park mode by hitting the lower button while driving under 15mph. It will then lower.

Driving away after having been parked in park mode and it should raise automatically and quite soon after you pull away (once you reach a certain low speed threshold).

I wish it would automatically lower when you put it into park. A few of the more expensive vehicles with air suspensions will do this. But since the Jeep won't use the air suspension with the door open, you'd have to put it in park, wait, then get out. Plus you might crush something. So I figured it's not a huge deal to not do it.

You can lower to park position when under 15 mph. I lower mine when approaching my destination.

I do the same & I love this feature! Well, my wife & mother-in-law love this feature! I think side steps look lame on the Overland, so this makes it soooo much easier for short-legged passengers to get in & out!

You can set this in Uconnect - Air Suspension — If Equipped
Go to Settings - After pressing the “Suspension” soft-key the following
settings will be available:
• Auto Entry/Exit Suspension
When this feature is selected, the vehicle automatically
lowers from ride height position when vehicle shifted to
park for easy entry/exit. Touch the box next to your
selection and a check-mark appears next to the feature
showing the system has been activated or the check-mark
is removed showing the system has been deactivated.

Hope this is what you after.

That setting only became available in late 2014 production models. My 2014 is an earlier build and that feature is not enabled. The OP has a 2012 so it's probably a good guess that he doesn't have that setting either.
